Eutopia. Our Green Policy.

Eutopia has always taken seriously its corporate responsibility, and so we established Eutopia's Green Policy in 2005 to put our money where our mouth was. Today, all management and employees of the Group are helping to promote common environmental measures with the objective of attaining high levels of “environmental quality” in our services and corporate activities, as well as pursuing active sustainable development.

Below is a brief overview of what we've done (and are doing) to reduce Eutopia's carbon footprint and impact on the global environment in 2007.

What we’ve done

  • We've installed multi-functional devices (for printing/photocopying) in our offices that will reduce energy & paper use
  • We've moved to an online fax solution, reducing the need to print
  • We've adopted a double sided printing solution, halving the amount of paper required when we do have to print
  • We now print on office paper from either recycled or sustainable sources
  • We recycle the majority of our office paper from all our offices
  • We recycle printer cartridges, old PC’s and mobile phones as well as all the fluorescent light tubes used in our offices
  • All the coffee and tea we drink in our offices are FairTrade sourced
  • Finally, and by no means least, we plant a tree for every placement we make (see below)

What we’re doing next

  • We’re looking to purchase as much of our electricity from renewable energy sources
  • We will join (and encourage others to join) the Envirowise “Big Splash” campaign to reduce water consumption at our HQ and to reduce our utilities consumption generally
  • We will measure and calculate our carbon footprint – and look to move to a carbon neutral position as quickly as we can
  • We will continue to educate and train all our management and consultants in matters pertaining to the environment - and encourage all our clients in respects of this vitally important area
